Learner Goals
Build professional relationships
by meeting with an industry professional
by working closely with another Learner
Expose them further to the industry
by asking questions to someone who may be in a role/company they’re not familiar with
Sharpen their networking skills
by reaching out to their Guest Mentor themselves
by leading the conversation with their Partner Learner
Structure
One virtual, hour-long meeting with you and two Learners, to take place sometime between now and the end of the SLP (31 July 2026). We want the Learners to practice writing outreach emails, so they'll contact you themselves to schedule this meeting. Please keep an eye out for an email with a subject line similar to “ASWF Guest Mentorship.”
Meeting Content
This meeting is intended to be a “coffee chat.” You aren’t expected to prepare anything in advance--just chat with the Learners the way you might chat with an intern at your company who asked to get coffee and learn about the industry. The Learners will come prepared with questions and discussion topics to fuel the conversation. We want the Learners to build confidence when it comes to networking conversations, so please encourage them!
