SonarCloud is working again

  • It’s working again! Thank you Doug.

  • Please take a look at the output, maybe some of the work could be good first issues

  • Remi took a look and there are hundreds of errors - do we share settings with other projects? We should maybe align first before addressing anything

  • Michael doesn’t remember ever really tuning it - just the basic setup.

  • Carol will take a look over next weekend if no one else gets to it first

Raising CMake minimum to 4?

  • Dependabot proposed upping the minimum version. We do support it already but it’s not the minimum

  • Kevin - why update? are we using new features?

  • Doug - mostly security related

  • Kevin - would be good to coordinate versions with other projects, want to make sure we don't introduce inconsistencies

  • Definitely check in with JF / CI Working group as needed

Fixing OCIO_NAMESPACE variable

  • Larry ran into this, there’s a thread on slack with more info

  • Two options:

    • remove broken behavior,

    • or fix current to support folks currently using the existing behavior

    • Kevin and Cuneyt want the second option to support current workflows

    • Group agrees, this will go in 2.6

Ocioarchive symlink handling

  • clean 2.5.1 build, no external build overrides

  • config references a symlink to a true file

  • when this is archived, it’s creating a symlink to the contents of the file!

  • it’s an upstream bug in mini zip which has been fixed last weekend

  • Kevin thinks that most people would expect ocioarchive to follow symlinks by default, but there are a few open questions

  • Symlink behavior was intentionally turned off, for security reasons, but we might be able to solve them

  • We should confirm if ocioarchive currently warns/errors if given a symlink path

    • is archivable currently checks for things like “only under the current worktree”

    • also has to be unique

  • Let’s work to a resolution on this in OCIO 2.6

Timeline for next release

  • OpenGL ES fix - would be good to include in patch

  • also a one line pybind11 compilation on windows fix

  • aiming for next week
