Notes

Dev Days - May 15

  • Please pay extra attention to slack/github!

  • If you have good first issues, please log them!

Exponent bug

  • Effects exponent transform - op can clamp, mirror, or passthrough. Passthrough option was not composing correctly in the optimizer

  • If you have two exponent ops adjacent to one another, result will be wrong

  • Should we do another patch release? Leaning no, but wanting groups opinion.

  • Group decides no, can wait for 2.5

CI Docs on MacOS

CMake 4.0 support

  • Cuneyt is starting to work on this and a variety of other third party dependencies that might need to come along for the ride

  • C++ is a different issue - will go to a minimum of 17

CIF meeting 5/19

  • Display color spaces initiative deck: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1mb0JG1JchDiuL8cQG44QaWgCHdQhyfxNkOKnkAAzOA8/edit?usp=sharing

  • Similar to texture asset color spaces deliverable

  • Doc would be a “Rosetta Stone” for connecting all the dots between different display metadata systems

  • Joseph - how would we clarify HLG adaptations?

    • Doug - we’d enumerate those less-common knowledge in the specification we publish

  • Group seems relatively happy with the initial list

  • Extended sRGB - scRGB on windows - used to do HDR (with limitations)
