OCIO ___ Working Group Meeting Notes
- General Progress Updates / Status Recaps:
- Thomas - not much from his end, also been in the SIGGRAPH time constraints.
- Looking into what needs done to drive the CG config from the reference config.
- Looking into CLF generator to generate non-ACES transforms to use in the CG and Studio config.
- Once the CLF generator is done, should be easier for other folks to jump in and contribute.
- CG Config - MaterialX spaces:
- They have been added, pretty sure. We'll double check. But shouldn't be a big deal to add more later.
- Non-config topic: FFMPEG & OCIO
- Mark - what happened with FFMPEG and OCIO?
- Doug: We didn't get a GSoC slot, so the proposal is there but no work has been done.
- Kevin - FFMPEG has massively upgraded their floating point support, which could definitely support an OCIO implementation.
- Mark: would FFMPEG welcome an implementation?
- Kevin - would have to be a C-binding to our library.
- Camera Vendor discussions:
- Michael & Carol still planning on working on the camera vendor followup strategy for the IDTs in the Studio config
- Active discussions in ACES working groups (AMF, IDT), will be some work to find alignment on strategy so we don't do double work down the line.
