Playback and Review - Users & Contexts
NOTE: to help narrow the scope this list focuses on users who actually need to play media themselves; there are additional consumers who aren't called out
AT DESK - SOLO
PA / Coordinator
Need to check individual pieces of media for basic technical validation, i.e. no corrupt frames, audio sync, etc.
Need to check media in continuity that matches the editorial cut
Need to arrange various pieces media into playlists as part of prepping for dailies/reviews
Artist
Need to check individual pieces of media I generated for artistic validation
Need to check media generated by myself and/or other artists for artistic & technical validation, i.e. review surrounding shots to mine to make sure the lighting matches
Need to check media generated by other artists to determine if the work is ready to be picked up
Need to be able to check media by non-destructively manipulating its brightness, color channels, etc
Supervisor / Lead
Need to check media generated by my team for artistic & technical validation to make sure it's ready for review in an elevated context, i.e. director dailies
Need to check media generated by my team within context of the editorial cut
