Stories from the ASWF’s First Summer Learning Program
About
The Summer Learning Program (SLP) is an initiative of the Academy Software Foundation’s D&I Working Group. The program is focused on providing underrepresented individuals in the film, media, and entertainment industry access to quality learning resources and opportunities to develop their professional networks, while creating new entry points into the industry to foster increased representation. Our rotating demographic groups include Underrepresented Gender Identities (2021), BIPOC or Latinx (2022), LGBTQIA+ (2023), open to all underrepresented groups (2024). The fifth year of the program is upcoming soon, and we are again excited to welcome 20 learners into the program for dedicated mentorship and learning opportunities!
The program will run from June through August 2025. Keep an eye on this page for up-to-date information and resources.
