About

The Summer Learning Program (SLP) is an initiative of the Academy Software Foundation’s D&I Working Group. The program is focused on providing underrepresented individuals in the film, media, and entertainment industry access to quality learning resources and opportunities to develop their professional networks, while creating new entry points into the industry to foster increased representation. Past groups have included Women and/or Non-Binary (2021), and BIPOC or Latinx (2022). For Summer 2023, our focus group will be the LGBTQIA+ community. This is the third year of the program, and we are again excited to welcome 20 learners into the program for dedicated mentorship and learning opportunities, as well as some new programs this year such as a speaker series!

Planning for SLP 2023 is underway, and the program will run from June 1 through August 21, 2023. Keep an eye on this page for up-to-date information and resources.
