About

The Summer Learning Program (SLP) is an initiative of the Academy Software Foundation’s D&I Working Group. The program is focused on providing underrepresented individuals in the film, media, and entertainment industry access to quality learning resources and opportunities to develop their professional networks, while creating new entry points into the industry to foster increased representation. Past groups have included Women and/or Non-Binary (2021), BIPOC or Latinx (2022), and LGBTQIA+ (2023). For Summer 2024, we are opening the program to individuals that belong to ANY underrepresented group in the industry. This is the fourth year of the program, and we are again excited to welcome 20 learners into the program for dedicated mentorship and learning opportunities!

The program will run from June 16 through August 9, 2024. Keep an eye on this page for up-to-date information and resources.
