OCIO UX Working Group Meeting Notes

  • It was a lightly attended meeting today, so we just had an informal chat about a few topics.  One that we will return to at a future meeting is Christophe's ideas around allowing config authors to have the option of exposing a Looks menu alongside Displays and Views to in order to make it more practical to provide artists access to look libraries.  Christophe noted that there is something along these lines in the latest RenderMan.

  • Christophe: Perhaps an active_looks variable could be added, similar to active_displays/views.

  • Zach: Need a way to specify which views may accept the looks.  Perhaps have look rules, similar to the existing viewing rules.
