Discussion:
- Cary: Website prototype
- Mimic the https://opencolorio.org/ front page
- Mostly just pleasing aesthetics, and links to substantive content
- Readthedocs:
- Technical documentation
- Project documentation previously at the top level of the repo
- Rod: would be nice to show OpenEXR adoption, like the OCIO “supported applications”. To illustrate that it’s used everywhere.
- Larry: But it’s used everywhere
- Cary: but how would we find that out? And WHat would the page/section actually look like.
- Cary: build documentation needs work.
- Rod: but do most people need that? Don’t they already have it installed? Or can’t you just do “pip install”?
- Larry: You get the wrong one.
- Rod: We should fix that.
- Peter: We’re missing “user” documentation. Description of the file contents independent of the C++ API. For artists.
- Cary: would be nice to include some references to color science. “Why OpenEXR?”
