Meeting called to order at 11:03am EST.

Technical Matters

  • Discussion:

    • Phil Barrett can't make it, says no progress on LUT-generation/spatial-awareness. Will implement ParamChoiceOrder in Filmlight

    • ParamPropChoiceOrder: what do we do with negative values meaning "hidden"?

      • J-P would expect it to "un-hide" the old value but that would be hard for Assimilate Scratch due to s/w architecture

      • Paul can hide the order at UI time in Silhouette, it's not hard for him

      • Paul agrees with J-P that old values should be hidden but shown if project loaded with that item (if possible)

      • Decision: Spec will say host should hide unless a project is loaded with that value, in which case it should be shown, but may instead show as grayed out/disabled/deprecated if necessary

      • Spec should confirm that order can't be changed dynamically

      • For StrChoice, if the plugin removes an option, then a project loaded with that option should be set by the host to the default.

      • There was some discussion about deprecating options in StrChoice, but we decided that would be complicated.

      • Guido asks: what about combining Order with StrChoice?

        • Decision: OK, let's do that. Gary will update example & doc & support lib.

    • Clip/Image metadata:

      • Pierre notes that frame is different from clip

      • Paul: key-value store, based on property sets -- but with a prefix so we get a hierarchy based on vendor prefix

      • EXR images should use "exr." but also "ofx." for things like media file, source frame, timecode. Also exif, tif, etc.

    • Color management:

      • Meeting this month on color, "nanocolor" may give a minimal set of colorspaces (March 25th) Color Forum

      • Also meet at NAB to finalize -- with Rohit

      • Gary to update PR 103 with this info (DONE)
