Notes

  • ACES 2 NaN issue

  • Decision on proceeding with the OCIO 2.4.2 release

  • Doug’s fix prevents the inverse from producing NaNs, but there is underlying instability

  • This issue is not related to the optimization pass, issue is present in original code

  • Affects all inverse transforms

  • Issue only appears on D60 tests, but that doesn’t mean it won’t appear elsewhere

  • Group agrees we should proceed with release, but be careful with wording. We need to encourage implementation, but recognize that this is a major new feature and might require some feedback and bugs to be addressed

  • Will create an issue for ACES 2.0 feedback in the OCIO repo, and ask the ACES 2.0 team for a list of todos on their end that we can link to, and link to that in the release notes

  • Remi will do a second review of Doug’s PR

  • Carol & Doug will work on wording for Release Notes

  • ACES 2.0 Configs have been released! Thank you Thomas

Review of minimum library dependencies, minimum C++ version

  • OIIO 3, is not working currently

    • We can keep the minimum to 2, but should get it working for 3.x

  • Expat, minor issue with CPU unit test failing issue #2393

  • Minizip-ng, perhaps drop support for the ones that use the earlier version scheme

  • Currently C++ minimum is at 11, should we update to 17 or only 14?

  • Remi - probably safe to jump to 17

  • We should communicate that out to stakeholders these changes

  • Update Larry’s spreadsheet

  • Create issues for the ones we don’t have, add to roadmap

TAC review
