UX Meeting Slot

• Repurposing UX meeting slot for general OCIO project use

• Idea was maybe to make that meeting slot a general project meeting slot, for whatever needs discussion outside the TSC. Sometimes that might be UX, or Configs, or other project needs

• Move it back to 11am PST to align with TSC meeting

Color Interop Forum update

• Next Monday is the next CIF meeting (Feb 24) - please try to attend with opinions

• Carol & Doug went to the last OpenEXR TSC Meeting to discuss proposal

• Goal for the coming meeting would be to discuss a specific proposal

• Mark - who is asking for this fix?

• Most recently, the NanoColor group re-brought up this issue in relation to USD interop

Missing displays from the ACES 2 CTL

• Adding missing displays from the ACES 2 CTL collection to the ACES 2 config

• Working to get these configs finalized so we can ship these as artifacts with OCIO 2.4.2

• Missing 4 displays each (d60/d65) - SDR DCDM (48nit 2.6g), HDR DCDM (PQ, 300nit), Gamma 2.2 rec709 SDR, Gamma 2.2 Display P3 100 nit

  • Decision: all four should be in the reference config,

  • None should be by default in the studio or CG configs

  • Decision might change based on testing for Display P3 in particular

  • And always up for feedback to make future decisions about what is included by default

• Thomas - ordering is driven by the reference config partially, which is hard to fix

• We should eventually merge the spreadsheets together, but that might be a lot of work and wait for 2.5 (or beyond)

• Might not release ACES 2 built-in configs with 2.4.2, just the artifacts.

• If we do, keep the default as the 2.4.1 configs, make the default switch with 2.5

ACES 2 optimization updates

• Kevin still working on some things to submit a PR

• Stylistic question about shaders - ok to introduce more functions?

• Doug - functions are in use in other OCIO shaders, but not sure if there is a performance cost

• Remi can help with profiling if we want to test

• Alex Fry working on his delta frameworks, Scott Dyer will re-render images with the latest CTL just to make sure

• Metal GPU fix merged

Meeting Recording / Transcribing

• Group agrees to try AI meeting notes / summary / etc

• Carol to propose some settings for the above and come back to the TSC with changes
