OCIO TSC Meeting Notes

•  

  • Configs Update

    • Adding display P3 as texture space and display space to next release

    • https://github.com/AcademySoftwareFoundation/OpenColorIO-Config-ACES/issues/97

    • Doug made a spreadsheet to plan what will go in the built-in configs as well, please take a look and add your thoughts

    • Following up with Apple to verify piecewise vs pure gamma 2.2 for the display P3

    • Config release targeted end of July, please get your feedback in ASAP so we can get the updates into the built-in configs in the library for then end of august.

    • Priority is being clear about what goes into the main OCIO library for the 2.3 release

  • OSD / SIGGRAPH Updates

    • Virtual Town Hall: Aug 3 (deck to be shared soon with TSC)

    • BoF schedule upcoming

    • If you, your company, or anyone else would like to present cool work done with OCIO, reach out! We’d love to showcase your work at the virtual town hall.

  • Release schedule update: 

    • 2.2.2 release still planned

    • 2.3 release planned for end of August

    • Autodesk is working on a prototype for the config merging feature, will decide once folks see that whether it will make sense for 2.3

    • OCIOView for 2.3

  • MaterialX Updates:

    • Removed some color management related attributes from the spec: CMS and Config

    • Need to check in with Jonathan/MatX about these changes 

    • Michael: should we have a more dedicated meeting around project interop? 

  • Dev Days Update:

    • Planning to announce at SIGGRAPH, thinking October

    • Volunteered OCIO to participate
