OCIO TSC Meeting Notes
Dev Days update
Doug added a lot of good first issues, but we could definitely use more
Michael will add some more for OCIOview
Thomas/Carol looking at adding some things around the configs repo
Dev Days ideas for contributors (currently 10 sign-ups for OCIO)
still more to come as far as signups go
Let Carol know what your availability will be like to help participants with issues. Will be making a spreadsheet to track coverage etc.
Licensing questions
Contents of third-party
Some things came up on slack - we think we're ok where we are, but wanted to bring it to the TSCs attention.
PyPI should be ok - as it's a separate distribution, but a couple things to talk about around YAML, etc
Michael - it's common - opencv on PyPI installs ffmpeg, for example
Mark Reid - the packages just need to be in the source right?
Carol & Doug will compile questions and follow up with John Mertic
Transition Cinesite modules
Revisit when Kevin is back - need to figure out whether Cinesite would be willing to submit a PR / sign a CLA
Carol will talk to John Mertic to see if there's a way to track what companies/individuals have CLAs signed for a project
Config WG Topics - Versioning standards & inclusion procedures & working group structure
Please take a look and give feedback on versioning standards
Please also think about how we go about codifying additions to the published configs - what is the process? What should the steps be?
Thinking about moving the Configs working group to more of a "forum" structure - making sure we have coverage from invested / dependent users & implementers of the configs in more purposeful way
Silver/Gold SSI Badges - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bEacUNFizeT8QtfsvqiRNNgvty8_tweHjassHko6OhQ/edit#gid=990428813
Michael - did find the original process valuable, but the delta to the next level is unknown
Doug - CI working group has notes you can read if interested (Best Practices FAQ)
Read through things and let us know if you have opinions from an OCIO (or general) persepctive
