PyPI Account Maintenance

  • Trusted publisher - a way to avoid some of the secret sharing in GitHub actions. You have to register your actions on PyPI (Doug will add issue to repo to tackle at some point)

  • Update the email forwarding for the account associated with the PyPI account (Carol will do)

ACES 2 Configs

  • Thomas has made a lot of progress on the 2.0 configs

  • Config release will be v3 - not to be confused with the library version or the ACES version

  • OCIO 2.4 added a view display color spaces, and filled them in the spreadsheet

  • Rec. 709 Gamma 2.2 will go in both studio and CG

  • Display P3 can be both SDR and HDR, should be different displays on the OCIO side - but the generator requires a built-in for each display

    • Encoding isn’t driving anything at the moment

    • Thomas will have to have a think about that

  • P3 Gamma 2.2 will be included, but not called Display P3

  • D65 and D60 should be separate configs - it’s possible that some people will want this, but shouldn’t be the main use case

    • For splitting it, toggle line in the generator on which to include

    • Do this programmatically based on names

  • Need to follow up with Alex Forsythe about repo structure stuff (currently using a local fork) - Carol will start an email

  • This spreadsheet should be the entire list, order is different and names are different - we could order the spreadsheet based on the config
ordering column but it might get a little messy

  • Doug will make sure we have everything in v3 that we have in the aces 1.3 configs

  • OCIODisplay got a fix for the view/display bug on dev days, PR should be merged soon, so folks can use this or OCIOView to test the ACES 2.0 configs

ACES 2 library optimizations

  • Kevin has been working on a lot of performance optimizations, should work to integrate those

  • Tonescale optimization suggestion from Doug, fitting the tonescale with a spline might allow us to collapse a lot of steps

  • Need to sync with the ACES OT Group leadership

  • Next milestone for OCIO is 2.4.1 in December, would include ACES Configs
