ACES 2 Support

  • Implementers meeting Dec 11

  • Carol & Doug met with ACES leadership, discussed implementation issues and timing

    • planned 2.4.2 early march

    • Hopefully this will not cause too much stress with implementers of OCIO for VFX Ref 2025

    • Working on release notes and timing plans to publish for ACES 2.0

    • Definitely want to make sure we keep aces 2 on the 2025 ref platform, otherwise the delays on it actually being in software get much longer

    • Will still be tight to get everything in by march, but hopefully we’ll get a few other resources and eyes on it.

CI Update

  • Doug made an update to deal with changes on the GH runners side. Other ASWF projects are adopting the same fix (proposed by the CI Working Group)

  • Updated to MacOS 13 runners

  • CI is back online, other than still having problems with dependences latest

  • We can drop 2021 next year, but will need this hack still for 2022

  • Need to make the same updates for other actions / python wheels

gh_pages on forks

  • We likely don’t want this, Zach can fix it, requires some permission changes etc

  • Might make some changes to the overall workflow

  • Need to make sure we are being secure, using secrets, etc
