Siggraph BoF | Kevin: I plan to attend in person, what is the agenda? Doug: Let’s wait for Carol and discuss that at the next TSC. We only have an hour and it will be a very packed agenda.

Color Interop Forum recap | Doug: We have an initial rough draft recommendation to standardize display color spaces. It is awaiting review and contributions. Looking for help adding additional graphics APIs. Kevin: How do we decide which APIs to include. Should we add the QT enums? Doug: We will have to decide case-by-case, but I think QT is worth including.

Planning for OCIO 2.5 built-in configs
| Doug: I created a Milestone on GitHub for us to plan out what we want to include in the next configs release. Remi: We should add an item to expand the File Rules. Doug: Good idea, I will add one. Michael: Regarding the change of negative handling, that should be added to the BoF discussion. Doug: I don’t think we need to add the ICC Profile name at this point, so I didn’t add one for that. Kevin: Agreed. Doug: I’m sure there will be other items to add, please review and add items you feel are important.

Interop ID PR needs review | |
Color space menu handling for MaterialX and OpenUSD | Doug: In the NanoColor group I proposed how color space menus would work in OCIO apps that read/write MaterialX and OpenUSD. The ‘texture’ category will be used to filter the menus (since MtlX and USD don’t support all OCIO color spaces). When reading files, the color space string will be passed to getCanonicalName to get the name to show in the UI. When writing files, the UI name will be used to get the interop ID or to search the aliases for a known MtlX/USD color space.
Michael: It would be helpful to have an OCIO API for the part to convert the canonical name to the file format string. Doug: Agreed, I will add an Issue for that on the repo.
