OCIO TSC Meeting Notes
Dev Update
Doug: Our target date for the planned 2.2.1 release is January 5. Would like to have the 2.2 documentation updates merged by that time.
Doug: Remi, regarding your PR #1714, what needs to happen to merge that. Remi: I think the whitelist in the GitHub settings needs to be updated.
Doug: Cedrik has pushed PR #1736 with a bunch of CMake improvements, anyone with CMake experience please review this.
Doug: Amaan found an issue involving the optimizer, I've logged this as Issue #1737. We are working on a fix and it will go in 2.2.1. We will make a patch release for the RB 2.1 branch. Do people think we need to do likewise for the RB 2.0 branch? Carol/Mark: Yes. Doug: We'll do that one too.
Doug: I'm still working on my documentation update PR but hope to push that this week. Carol: I'll hopefully have cycles to review that.
VFX Build Matrix Review
Remi: I made a quick pass through it after the last meeting and filled in a bunch of the boxes.
Doug: I will fill in the other Maya ones. Is there other info that needs to be added? Looks like Unreal needs to be updated. Carol/Remi: Looks like Unreal is OCIO 2.1 as of 5.1 and OCIO 1.1 for previous releases.
Mark: I will fill in some additional boxes.
REQUEST: Please review the spreadsheet and add/comment as appropriate so we can move this to Larry's main spreadsheet soon.
CI Build Matrix Review
Doug: I've made a Google Sheet with the current matrix. If you have suggestions for which builds to remove to make way for VFX CY 2023, please comment there.
Carol: I asked the ASWF CI working group about when we might have a VFX CY 2023 Docker container we could use to update our Linux CI. It sounds like no one currently has time to work on this. If anyone would like to volunteer to help please reach out to Aloys Baillet and JF Panisset in the ASWF Slack #wg-ci. I will reach out to Michael too, since he worked on the previous ones.
Python Wheels M1 Issue
Remi: I would appreciate help from someone with an M1 Mac to help test my work to fix the current issue. Doug/Mark: We would be happy to help.
Holiday Meeting Schedule
Carol: We will suspend all further meetings until the new year. The next TSC meeting will be January 9. New working group times will be established with the goal of having either the Config or UX working group meeting on the weeks when there is no TSC meeting (so there will be a max of one OCIO meeting per week). I will start a thread on Slack to collect preferences for the working group meeting time.
Doug: The 2.2.1 release should happen before the next TSC meeting. Carol: Doug, please reach out to us on Slack if you and Cedrik need help with anything.
Carol: Have a nice break everyone, see you in the new year!
