OCIO Config Working Group Meeting Notes
Camera Vendor CLF IDTs:
Carol pinged Panasonic, Sony, Canon. Not hearing a ton of response, we are going to make PRs and send them to the vendors for review at this point. Doug will take point there.
Doug - for the Canon one, it will require a LUT. We could make a built-in for OCIO 2.2, but first version will likely be supported by OCIO 2.1.
Doug - please review the blackmagic PR ASAP, will follow that template for the other PRs.
Studio config (pr #59):
Thomas implemented new naming convention, updated studio config spreadsheet. It's all working pretty well.
Note for future: the CG config spreadsheet and Studio spreadsheet are very similar - might consider combining in the future

For the camera colorspaces that are just primaries or curve - should they have separate CLFs? What should the ID be for the CLF?
Doug to propose in PR, will be open for comment on naming conventions
Curve doesn't really apply for interchange - could see not needing a CLF for those
Zach - curve could still be useful for shaper spaces for LUT baking, etc
With new OCIO, can go linear to log with no issue - if you need a LUT1D, better to go the other way
Doug, Carol, Zach, to work through updating spreadsheet with new names and aliases and categories
Colorspace naming conventions:
Proposed names in PR #58
Michael - are we aiming for consistency in naming - like primaries, encoding, content
Group: basically yes, aiming for the most important bit first, followed by encoding delineations, and connection spaces at the end
Old names will be in the aliases to help in connecting the dots
Doug - Linear delineation. Does it make sense to have at the end? Right now it's P3-D65 - Linear. Should it be Linear - P3-D65?
Thomas - should we switch the camera spaces instead to be consistent?
Kevin: linear is a bit different than texture or display which are "use cases" and linear is an encoding
Doug - proposing not having a dash in the linear name - so Linear P3-D65 instead of Linear - P3-D65. Could help with confusion.
Group decided to wait on further naming changes until spreadsheet updates are made to include more spaces - and details like family and aliases so we have a good idea of the whole picture.
